Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Cusco & Sacred Valley Discovery
Welcome to Cusco! Upon arrival, transfer to the Sacred Valley to begin your acclimatization. Visit Pisac’s colorful market and its impressive Inca ruins, a perfect introduction to Andean culture and history.
Day 2 Acclimatization Trek in the Sacred Valley
Enjoy a scenic hike through Moray’s circular terraces and the salt mines of Maras. Take in the views of the Andes and enjoy a tasting of local wine — the ideal warm-up before your trek.
Day 3 Short Trek in Ollantaytambo
Hike from the archaeological site of Pumamarca down to Ollantaytambo, one of the last living Inca towns. Walk its cobblestone streets and feel history come alive before starting the Inca Trail adventure.
Day 4 Inca Trail Begins – The Adventure Starts
Start your trek at kilometer 82, walking towards Wayllabamba. Pass ancient ruins and lush valleys as you step into the sacred path once used by Inca messengers centuries ago.
Day 5 Inca Trail – Crossing Warmiwañusca Pass
Reach the highest point of the trail — Dead Woman’s Pass (4,200 m). The breathtaking view over the Andes rewards every step of the climb. Descend to Pacaymayo to rest under the stars.
Day 6 Inca Trail – Temples & Cloud Forests
Continue through ancient temples and misty landscapes. The lush vegetation and stunning Inca sites guide you to Wiñay Wayna, one of the most enchanting spots along the trail.
Day 7 Machu Picchu – The Great Conquest
At sunrise, cross Inti Punku (the Sun Gate) and witness Machu Picchu in all its glory. Explore the citadel with your guide and absorb the mystical energy of this sacred wonder. Afternoon train back to Cusco.
Day 8 Bohemian & Traditional Cusco
In the afternoon, enjoy a walking tour through the artistic neighborhood of San Blas, San Pedro Market, and Sapantiana viewpoint — a relaxed way to experience Cusco’s local life.
Day 9 Farewell Cusco
Transfer to the airport for your departure flight. End of an unforgettable adventure through the Andes.
